On 19 January 2026, the Government promulgated Decree No. 29/2026/NĐ-CP regulating the domestic carbon exchange, establishing the legal framework for the formation, organization, and operation of the carbon market in Viet Nam, thereby contributing to the implementation of national commitments on greenhouse gas emission reduction and the achievement of carbon neutrality targets.
