On February 28, 2025, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued Circular No. 06/2025/TT-BTNMT promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Industrial Wastewater (QCVN 40:2025/BTNMT), aiming to strengthen the management and control of industrial wastewater discharge into the environment.
This Circular takes effect from September 1, 2025.
Scope of Application:
This Circular applies to all organizations and individuals discharging industrial wastewater into the environment.
It does not apply to water extracted from offshore oil and gas facilities, livestock wastewater, domestic wastewater, or urban and centralized residential wastewater.
